Viper MMO Mouse 3x4
My starter Viper hotbar for Dawntrail, designed to be played with an MMO mouse.
LV 100 VPR Hotbar
Hissss
VPR XHB w/ ST-AoE swap
Hotbar 1 covers all single target actions and all role actions. Hotbar 2 covers all AoE actions and all role actions.
Hotbar 5 contains the few shared skills that don't fit on hotbar 1/2, along with Limit Break. Twinfang/Twinblood are behind the skills that activate them.
Comfortable Viper XHB
Uses XHB, double tap, LT->RT(which are almost the same for muscle memory). Also uses a bar for cooldowns you cant see on LT->RT
Uses sheathe weapon layouts too for run, food, teles, etc
VPR

Single Target Combo. Potion goes LT Right D-pad

Aria's Viper Layout
Utilizing Main XHB, WXHB and Expanded XHB
XHB RT = Single Target Normal
2 XHB (Single and Expanded/WXHB)
Thought Process
- GCDs on face buttons for easy movement while pressing-
- WXHB and Expanded shared on XHB 2 so can see Expanded cooldowns
- Left trigger, XHB 1 starts opener
- rear positional on bottom buttons and flank on side
- Right trigger bar is mainly used for filler GCDs and the reawaken part of the burst
- duplicate actions because we have so much space so trying to limit having to swap triggers and help with weaves
- AOE on bar 3 to switch to when needed saves room (not really needed, just a habit from other jobs)
- sprint on L3
- macro on XHB 2 is pot
Ayria's Viper
2 is for AOE combo > stays at the top 1 is for Standard combo (single target) > main bar 3 is for Role skills
VPR MMO
MMO mouse setup with modifiers.
Viper Extended Chotbar
A setup that tries to keep dual-wield on one trigger and twinblade on another. AOE mirrors on hotbar 3, anything common to ST and AOE is reached via extended hotbar L2-R2/R2-L2

SMN ->EW & Dawntrail levelling
This layout works for levelling SMN from 1 through Dawntrail
DNC Companion Hotbars
for each job, I create a "hotbar" that is basically a monitor for any spell/skill/cooldowns I want to see the status of; I also have a hotbar with Role spells & skills, and, Sprint. These are the spells I have for Dawntrail. I use Hotbars 2 & 10 but you can use any Hotbars you want.
DNCy DNCy baby cool!
wanna Dance? let's DANCE! single target on the Right Trigger Crossbar skills, Fan Dances & AOE on the Left Trigger Crossbar skills (except for Last Dance) Buffs, Def, Movement etc skills on Crossbar 2

RDM Companion Hotbars
for each job, I create a "hotbar" that is basically a monitor for cooldowns/any spell/skill I want to see the status of; I also have a hotbar with Role spells & skills, and, Sprint. I would add Second Wind in the missing slot. I use Hotbars 2 & 10 but you can use any Hotbars you want.
for RDM, there are only 6 spells, so you could put them all on 1 column; I don't do this because of how I have my UI setup to accommodate multiple job setups.
RDM ->EW & Dawntrail levelling
this layout works for levelling from RDM unlock through Dawntrail. main crossbar is your single target spells & burst rotation, and the 2nd has your AOE spells
Dawntrail Picto companion hotbars

Dawntrail cap
In this layout, I grouped the attack Motifs & Muses together, along with their action buttons, and your normal single target & group attacks and separated them from the other normal/non-motif/non-muse attacks. That neatly left room for Smudge on the main cross-bar, but you can switch that with Tempera Coat if you prefer. Since the Landscape Motif has such a large cooldown, I moved that to the 2nd cross-bar as you wouldn't need access to those actions frequently. Also, I have Tempera Grassa setup as executable after Tempera Coat, which is why it is not on the hotbars, but if you prefer them separate, you can take replace Smudge on the 2nd hotbar.
Dawntrail launch start
this layout I put together while learning and levelling, adding new spells as they unlock. It's not perfect, it's a bit all over the place, for example, the Muses & Motifs aren't grouped together, or even in the same position across the cross-bars, so I'd maybe line those up neater, but this is now ingrained in my muscle memory, and it will work when you immediately pick up the job. When you unlock, you don't have Rainbow Drip, so I'd initially put Smudge there, so it's on your main cross-bar and easy to access, and you don't have Comet In Black either so I'd put Tempera Coat there.
