I've watched Bun Boss and a few others to get an idea of how things should flow on controller. This is a setup that works for me and I wanted to share it! I like to keep things consistent across my jobs.

How I set up my crossbars as a white mage on steamdeck (Currently level ~65)

I try to play every classes/jobs, thus I tend to reuse same slots for same "functionality" across jobs.

No new buttons.

Delirium is now an upgrade to Blood Weapon.

This hotbar is pulled from Gingergaming's channel and is used for myself with some modifications to remove macro usage.

First version of Azeron layout. Hotbar 3 is center row of buttons, 1 & 2 are upper flick buttons, 4 & 5 are squeeze buttons. Actions on the upper halves of hotbars are shift (nub click) + 1-4 (pinky-pointer). Hotbar 4 sides are shift and outer buttons.

I show Cross Hotbar 3 (Left) with both of the expanded trigger controls, so you can easily add in another 8 actions if you prefer, I use XHB 8 as a shared bar between all classes for traversal and general actions outside of combat. Role actions are consistent among my layouts, and so are general actions. The macro icon is a placeholder for a Tincture/Gemdraught.
