Da'momo's Scholar
I created my chotbars to be comfortable, practical, and aesthetic.(to me anyway) Nearly all same/similar skills are in the same position across all jobs/roles while allowing for as little finger gymnastics as possible.
My XHB is split between chotbars 2(left) and 7(right)

Just copied Nanaki's

This layout is based on the ease of use (for the most part) and grouping of relevant buttons. Overall i try to keep insta casts on the face buttons to enable mobility.
RT (R) - is for insta spells for movement. also the the placements within the RT group allow for the Crit-Adlo-deploy combo with ease.

Lv90 AST Controller Layout
This layout focuses healing skills on the LT bars and damaging/buffing skills on the RT bars. Special care is taken to consider how inputs flow into each other. For example, the ally-targeted oGCDs are placed on the D-pad because you will already be using the D-pad to scroll through the party list and select a party member.
Face buttons are more accessible while using the left stick to move, so core GCDs and untargeted card actions are placed there, along with Swiftcast and Sprint.
