Current XHB layout; single-target on right, aoe on left, stances & less commonly used skills on HB 2.

I created my chotbars to be comfortable, practical, and aesthetic.(to me anyway) Nearly all same/similar skills are in the same position across all jobs/roles while allowing for as little finger gymnastics as possible.

My XHB is split between chotbars 2(left) and 7(right)

Waiting for the new action images to get added in to fully get this good

Make sure to change Double tap L2 to "Cross Hotbar 4 - Left" and Double tap R2 to "Cross Hotbar 4 - Right"

Puts most of the strain on the left hand, and off of the right.

Single target on chotbar 1, AoE on chotbar 2. I change using the right bumper button (R1) and sit on the chotbar as needed. Possibly based on Squintina's layout with tweaks, I can't remember if I got my original layout from her or not.

Not updated for 7.0. Putting this up for a friend (and so I can transfer my chotbar to my alts)

wanna Dance? let's DANCE! single target on the Right Trigger Crossbar skills, Fan Dances & AOE on the Left Trigger Crossbar skills (except for Last Dance) Buffs, Def, Movement etc skills on Crossbar 2

Gain Last Dance. (Teleport as Placeholder. Not actually too sure if this is a new button.)

Maybe play with where Saber Dance, Last Dance, Starfall Dance, and Fan Dance IV are. Might feel bad to hit those buttons in those locations.

Current WIP for updated hotbars in 7.0, focusing on minimising swapping hotbars in combat and keeping visual clarity on relevant buff cooldowns and maximising consistency across all jobs. Bar 1 is for single target, and Bar 2 for AoE.

The Glamour Plate button is being used in place of the newly added skill as needed, and the dye represents potion. Sprint and LB are macroed to L3/R3 respectively.

I show Cross Hotbar 3 (Left) with both of the expanded trigger controls, so you can easily add in another 8 actions if you prefer, I use XHB 8 as a shared bar between all classes for traversal and general actions outside of combat. Role actions are consistent among my layouts, and so are general actions. The macro icon is a placeholder for a Tincture/Gemdraught.
